A Browser-Local CSV Canonicalizer for Predictable Text

Small data-format differences can disrupt an otherwise simple import. CSV Canonicalizer is a free browser-local utility for turning a carefully defined pasted-text CSV subset into predictable comma-delimited output with CRLF record endings.

What it does

The tool accepts pasted UTF-8 CSV text up to 256 KiB, comma delimiters, LF or CRLF input endings, and RFC-4180-style quoted fields. It emits minimally quoted comma-delimited output with CRLF endings and one final CRLF.

Malformed or unsupported input is refused with a line, column, and plain-language reason. The utility does not guess a dialect or silently repair questionable data.

What stays local

Processing occurs in the browser. The product has no upload mechanism, account, analytics, application-server storage, or network-processing feature. Pasted text remains in the current page interaction, and users should still avoid confidential or regulated information.

Know the boundary

This is not a universal CSV parser. It does not accept file uploads, semicolon or tab delimiters, malformed-data repair, shared records, or persistent storage. Those limits are deliberate so the tool can remain understandable and self-contained.
